When I was in my 30s everyone would call me Gomez cause I looked like John Astin when I sported a mustache. After a while I got sick of it and shaved it off. Then they started calling me Dennis Hopper. I grew the mustache back. Then I got old and my hair went white and grew a goatee now I'm Dennis Hopper again. Life is so unfair. Great fun, good to see The Addams Family again. Lots of in jokes. The Creator of The Addams Family would be proud. Brings back some Nostalgia from the TV series and also brings in some flavor from the movies. Overall a blast. Great to watch during Halloween. Fun for the whole family. Great voice cast too.

Focuses to much on fitting in! What made the Addams Family great was they didn't fit in & they didn't try to fit in with the 'Normals' Some of the jokes are funny on a child level.
Would have been much much better if Tim Burton made it!
Maybe it's because I grew up watching reruns of the tv series & from the first time I watched it I loved it & wanted them to be my family. This just doesn't have the spooky, kooky, vibe that is the Addams Family. And still, despite me being young, I still think of the most catchy sitcom opening I ever saw.

The frog part is comedy gold. I was hoping it could be decent but- tHis iS gOiNg tO bE LiT. Spoilers for the new Adams: They remake this intro at the end of the movie and its kinda sweet to see this. Normally if I don't like a film from the beginning, I try to resist and see if something good happens that can change my mind as the film progresses. Not with this one. About one-third on I have thrown the Blu-Ray in the garbage bin. An absolute waste of money. Dull characters, empty storyline, poor quality of render and animation. This people should learn how to do a proper quirky animation from Illumination. I was four when The Addams Family first ran, and it was instantly my favorite show. I had such a crush on Carolyn Jones- along with Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady and Diana Rigg on The Avengers. I wanted to be Gomez when I grew up.

Why are the comments so negative? I personally LOVED this movie. This was one show that I loved the most when I was a kid. Still love it. Miss my old days.

This movie certainly blows. I would love to hang out with The Addams Family. I know it's just a TV show but it always makes me feel so sorry for them nobody wants to stay. They just want friends. Morticia is still one of the prettiest,amazing,talented and beautiful woman on tv.

Oh my God, what's with all the new Addams hate? They don't reference fortnite, nobody does the floss, and overall, it's based off the original dang comic! STOP HATING. I notice how many times the psychiatrist remove then reapply his glasses. I like the theme to the 1973-1975 cartoon! And the theme to the 1991-1995 cartoon. It actually took me a while to realize that Wednesdays braids are nooses.
